How CareSouth Carolina Uses the AMC-25 To Help Kids
April 10, 2023
A month ago, Aseptico team members Noel Pangilinan and Sam Hinrichsen visited CareSouth Carolina, a non-profit organization, to learn more about how they use Aseptico dental equipment. CareSouth’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities in rural South Carolina. One of the ways CareSouth Carolina achieves this goal is through its mobile dental clinic, called Miles of Smiles, which uses Aseptico® AMC-25 mobile dental carts to provide essential dental care to individuals who may not have easy access to a traditional dental office.
CareSouth Carolina brings vital care to those in need
CareSouth Carolina’s Miles of Smiles team travels to schools, community centers, and other locations throughout rural South Carolina, providing much-needed dental care to individuals 18 and under who may not have seen a dentist in years. “If we weren’t doing this program, a lot of these kids would have no access to dental care at all,” says Dr. Joshua Hubbard, dental director for CareSouth Carolina.
Asepticomobile dental carts helps the Miles of Smiles team to do their job
The Aseptico AMC-25 is a state-of-the-art mobile dental cart that is designed to provide high-quality dental care on the go. The cart is equipped with all the necessary equipment to perform routine dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions. It is fully self-contained in that dental handpieces, dental suction, water for procedures, and waste water and are all managed and contained within the mobile cart. Its portability and maneuverability make it easy to transport and set up in any location.
The Aseptico AMC-25 mobile dental cart has become essential equipment for CareSouth Carolina’s mobile dental clinic. They need equipment that can do it all in a small space and will hold up to the rigors of frequent transport. “You’ve got to have something that’s tough when you’re going into schools, we will be moving this equipment constantly,” says Mark Sobiski, foundation director for CareFirst Carolina Foundation, “You want something that will hold up to long-term use.” The Miles of Smiles team can see up to 30 kids a day over a 6-8 hour period. The fact that the AMC-25 is incredibly durable and reliable is key for them. “Every minute spent fixing a piece of equipment is time you’re not going to spend helping kids,” says Dr. Hubbard.
Conclusion
The Aseptico AMC-25 is a game-changer in the world of dentistry, and CareSouth Carolina’s use of it is a shining example of how this technology can improve access to essential dental care for communities in need. By bringing dental care directly to children who may not have easy access to a traditional dental office, CareSouth Carolina is making a significant impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities in rural South Carolina.
